“Even the simplest tools can empower people to do great things” – Biz Stone
On the 4th day til Christmas, we selected tools as another item we truly value. Owning a home requires some work. Things break and it’s important to have proper tools to fix it. My Dad and I do a fun thing where we try to share tools so we can buy things that are more quality and not have two of everything. That has worked really well and fits in with the decluttering, minimalistic lifestyle. Any opportunity to share something that you don’t usually need very often is a win. These tools that we use so often go from simple hand tools like a measuring tape and hammer to power tools like drills. Something we also wanted to loop into this was having a washer and dryer. It’s something people take for granted and they are so nice to have in your house. Our tools help our house stay together and help us look and smell fresh when we leave the house. Maybe I’ll receive a new tool for Christmas, I guess we’ll see what Santa has in mind. To recap, we now have discussed bikes (12th), kitchen appliances (11th), a table for gathering (10th), our computer (9th), the couch (8th) a coffee maker (7th) and now our phones (6th), shoes (5th) and now tools! What do you think will be next?
Item 355 of 360+
Today’s daily decluttered item is a pair of snowflake pajama bottoms. Hopefully someone who needs them this winter season will be able to enjoy these fuzzy pjs. Here’s to having some snowflakes for a white Christmas on Saturday!
