Day 311 – Unexpected Fulfillment

“The best things in life are unexpected because there were no expectations.” -Eli Khamarov

“The only real things in life is the unexpected things. Everything else is just an illusion.” -Watkin Tudor Jones

“Life is full of unexpected things but always remember that it’s hard to beat a person who never gives up.” – Unknown

From the perspective of a busy person, a free weekend is hard to come by. It’s almost a relief of some sort. Amalia and I walked into this weekend with no real plans and better yet no expectations. I’m happy to say that it didn’t go quite as planned. Honestly, I was “planning” on relaxing most of the weekend and taking it easy based on how much we have going on in November. Then yesterday, lightning struck and we decided to make some changes in the living room and dining room, most of which Amalia discussed yesterday. Then today, we kept the train full steam ahead. Amalia did some painting that she’s been wanting to do in our upstairs hallway with her father and I decided to tackle a rotted pipe going into my boiler with my Dad and his buddy. Another successful day in the books and now for the last part of today we are left with some relaxation. It is so much sweeter to relax after an weekend of accomplishments. So many to dos wiped off of our list. It went from a lazy weekend to one of unexpected fulfillment. What a nice surprise, go us! We hope you had a wonderful weekend as well.
