“Where there is an open mind, there will always be a frontier.” – Charles F. Kettering
Last week, my workplace told their employees that they would be implementing a health incentive for us to take advantage of every pay period. The details were simple, if we wanted to work out during work hours we were allowed to use 3 hours a pay period (every two weeks) to do so. I did the math and decided it would be most beneficial for me to go in conjunction with my lunch twice a week for 45 minutes plus 30 minutes for lunch. Today was the first day I did it and it went so well. It was nice to break up the day of work to get to the gym for my own personal health. It also helped after work as I didn’t have to rush to the gym. Instead, I was able to relax a bit more with Amalia tonight. This type of thing along with a benefit like working from home makes work so much better. I wanted to share this experience in hopes that more workplaces see this message and try to do things like this for their employees. It’s a big morale booster and makes work feel less like work.

Today’s decluttered item is a t-shirt from Salem I received last year. It is a little too small on me and I haven’t worn it, so I thought it was time to get rid of it. No better time than at the end of October since Salem and Halloween go together like Peanut Butter and Jelly.
