“The camera sees more than the eye, so why not make use of it?” – Edward Weston
“Taking pictures is like tiptoeing into the kitchen late at night and stealing Oreo cookies.” – Diane Arbus
How does one collect as a minimalist? I still have some small collectibles but I have dwindled it down quite a bit this past year which I am proud of. Everything that I got rid of, I still have a picture of. So even though I no longer have it, I still have a digital copy of it. That’s what I have been doing most recently with the Pokemon Oreos. This is honestly the perfect example. Why would someone want to hold onto oreos? My suggestion is take pictures of each Pokemon Oreo and then throw them in milk, get them a little soggy while still being firm enough to hold and then eat those bad boys. Pictures will keep the memory of the Oreos much better than holding onto a package that will gather dust and mold over the years. One final (side) note, I think a good slogan for the Oreo x Pokemon mash up is “Gotta Eat ‘Em All.” That is all.

Today’s decluttered item is two bathing suits from my parent’s house. These have not been used in years and were never going to be used again. I am glad these are now out of the way for both my parents and me.
