“Out with the old and in with the new.” -Anonymous
“Tidying is the act of confronting yourself.” —Marie Kondo
Let’s keep it simple today. With the seasons changing, most of us will be swapping out clothes in closets in preparation for fall/winter. This is an excellent time top donate clothing either that you didn’t wear in the summer or that you have no plans to wear in the fall/winter. For me, the the next few days of items came from starting this process. I still do come in with some new things to replace the old but I try to base the purchases on two rules. One, get rid of more items then I bring in and two, only purchase what I need. These steps help me from buying things I don’t need. Does anyone else have any tips to share when decluttering and making new purchases?

Today’s item is a polo from college. It was a bit worn out and I noticed that I haven’t worn it once during the summer. If I don’t wear it, what’s the point of keeping it? It’s not for a rainy day, that’s what my rain jacket it for. It’s time to move on from items like this and it can apply to much more things other than clothing. I hope this helps spark some motivation to donate some clothing and clear up some space for you.
