“I wanted to figure out why I was so busy, but I couldn’t find the time to do it.” ― Todd Stocker
“It’s not enough to be busy, so are the ants. The question is,, what are we busy about?” ― Henry David Thoreau
Sometimes when I don’t know what to talk about, I just start looking up quotes about what’s on my mind. Today what was on my mind was just how busy I have been the past eight-ish days. Being busy can be a good or bad thing and it was mostly good things these past few days. I was down in Texas working and learning, which was great. However, the trip was not the best because of the rise in COVID cases. We made sure to be careful but it did take away from the overall experience a bit. Usually when I/we get back from a trip, we have a relaxing weekend, but this time it was right back into action. Yesterday was awesome, Amalia did fantastic in her first parade and pub crawl as a new snare drummer in her bagpipe band. We will be doing it all over again today minus the pub crawl, which is equally exciting. My guess is that tonight will be an early bedtime for us from exhaustion but we are having a great time and living it up, so it’s all worth it. We plan on taking it easy this week, some time for recovery and relaxation. It’s some make-up time for the past busyness, a way to balance the craziness of life, a way to balance the busy.

Today’s decluttered item is two head bands. These have some cool patterns and we plan on donating them in hopes that someone else can wear and enjoy them.
