“They say bad things come in threes, but I don’t think that’s true. I think bad things keep right on coming. They don’t stop. They’ll never stop. It’s just too depressing to keep counting, so we start over after the third bad thing.” – Hugh Howey
“The best things in life come in threes, like friends, dreams, and memories.” – Mencius
A superstition my mom and I always talk about is how bad things come in threes. This morning we found out that my dog’s leg got hurt while running like a crazy doggo. This was following a recent small health problem I found I have and another little problem with a close family member I prefer not to write about. Is this another case of the threes or is this just life’s highs and lows. Regardless of what it is, everything needs to be put into perspective. The world is not ending, wounds heal in quite literally all three scenarios and all will be well. The key is to keep a positive attitude through the rough patches to make them less rough. I am happy that I have been able to look at the bright side of things, keep a level head and stay calm through the drizzle.
