“I enjoy getting gussied up for an event or date night.” – Olivia Wilde
The best nights are when you just kick back and relax for a fun night with your best friend. My best friend happens to be my husband. It’s important to make time for spending time alone with your best friend whether that be your significant other, your high school bestie, your co-worker, etc. Tonight, TJ and I enjoyed a nice night together by getting dinner at a local brewery we’ve been wanting to try. TJ likes trying different craft beers and I accidentally left him walking in the rain today at work (long story) so I let him pick what he wanted to do tonight. We had a great time just the two of us and even ran into a friend tonight! I enjoy nights like these because they give us a break from our hectic lives where we can just focus on one another without distractions and decompress from the busy work week. It gets stressful throughout the week with work, doing things around the house, and running errands so unwinding and spending time with the one you love is so important. You have to remember to appreciate your loved one and give them the attention they need because if one is unhappy, you both are. I like to live by the philosophy that if you’re both happy, you’re both happy. So, I like to make sure to maintain the happiness together by hearing each other out and doing the things we love together.
