“Early to bed and early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy, and wise.” – Benjamin Franklin
As you can tell, sleep is on my mind today. It’s been a long week so far and have a lot on my mind. In times like this, I remember how important getting my sleep is. I get a lot less done at work, I don’t keep as active, and I’m miserable without the correct amount of sleep. Your productivity and your life are affected depending on the amount of sleep you receive. In movies a lot of the time you see someone not getting enough sleep and they bomb their interview or get into a car accident from not paying attention. Although movies are meant to exaggerate events, not getting enough sleep can really cause a lot of crazy things to happen.
I’ve always enjoyed my sleep, my mom used to say I would ask to take naps all the time as a kid. I’ve grown to love sleep and it’s really important to me to make sure I have at least 7 hours of sleep a night. I find that’s my amount of time I need to function at my normal self. The CDC recommends 7 or more hours of sleep a night for someone my age. This matches up with how much sleep I personally feel is needed for me. It is so important to stick with your sleep schedule and make sure you have enough sleep. I have an auto-immune disease and sleep is all that more important to me and my immune system. Yes that’s right, immune systems are affected by how much sleep you get as well. It may take time, but finding your nightly routine and getting to bed at a reasonable hour is so important for your health. If you feel you’ve been just trailing along, chances are, your sleep schedule is off. Get more sleep and the improvements will soon follow. Now go to bed!
Item 237 of 360+
Today’s item is what TJ calls, my “mystery bag.” It’s just a bag of old undergarments and socks that I decided to get rid of. I don’t know about you guys, but I tend to forget how long I’ve had undergarments for and they get pushed to the back of the small drawers and you forget about them! I made a lot more room in my drawers by getting rid of drawers. 😉
