Day 229 – Hawkeye

“I see better from a distance.” -Clint Barton

“The City Is Flying, We’re Fighting An Army Of Robots, And I Have A Bow And Arrow. None Of This Makes Sense.” – Clint Barton

I took up a new hobby to channel my inner Hawkeye and Katniss Everdeen. Two weekends ago, I decided it was time to own my first bow and arrow. I’ve always liked hunting to an extent but my least favorite part was the weather. It’s always way too cold when I would go out a few years ago and I just wasn’t that into it. On top of that, rifle hunting really isn’t all that hard, you aim down the sight and just shoot. You don’t need much practice or skill for it, it just happens. To fix both of those complaints, I decided to give the bow and arrow a chance. It’s something I had been thinking about for quite some time and I felt confident in my decision that I wanted to take it up, practice and become good at shooting it. Since that day of purchase, I have been shooting on average daily, 6-18 shots at a target I set up in my basement to start. It’s been a great thing to do at the end of the night to take my mind off of things. I plan on keeping this up and being ready to hunt in the beginning of October. Expect some in dates as I explore this new hobby just Amalia has her new-ish hobby of playing the snare drum in the black diamonds!

Item 229 of 360+

Today’s decluttered item is the last remanence from our wedding planning. With the wedding over there is no need for the random documents and things. If we ever need to look back on something we have it all digitally. Having extra paper everywhere will create a mess, don’t forget to keep up with it!
