“Many people live their lives for ‘someday.’ They put their dreams on hold, waiting for the right time, not realizing that someday may never come.” ― Anthon St. Maarten
““What day is it?” asked Pooh.
“It’s today,” squeaked Piglet.
“My favorite day,” said Pooh.”
― A.A. Milne
How many days have you lived where you’re just trying to get it over with to get to something better on the horizon. It’s the love for the weekend mentality. Now don’t think for one second that I don’t enjoy weekends more than weekdays, it’s simple almost everyone should. A weekend or time off is an opportunity to do as you please, live on your own schedule and be a little more free. Of course that’s going to feel great but there’s a lot more to life than living for two out of seven days. It’s something I’ve talked about previously but I just noticed myself getting used to the trend again.
We switched back to being full time in the office and there has just been so little time to live after work and it really does suck. Part of it however, was my own doing because I just wasn’t getting motivated enough. This is where you need a little planning involved. Now I’m an avid gym goer, I don’t like a day going by without getting some sort of work out in. Everyday you should care about getting in time for your personal health. I wasn’t having trouble with this part but it was taking me too long after work to get to the gym. Why? I kept getting distracted by my phone or just random things. This is where I need to improve and I think I have a pretty simple solution. Everyday I want to try to get five things done after work and this will make the current day worth while. The five things are the gym, a to-do, writing the daily post, personal time and preparation for the next day. If I don’t get these things done the day wasn’t lived to the fullest, which is ok but I want the majority to be like this. Some time for sanity, some time for tasks, some time for goals, some time enjoyment and some time to prepare for the next day. I’m going to dive into each one of these the next few posts so stay tuned!
Item 185 of 360+
Today’s decluttered item is some shades. These will be perfect for someone for the rest of the summer. I’ve noticed I don’t wear too many different pairs of sunglasses, it’s something you really only need 1-3 pairs of. Another item not being used now gone from our possession.
