“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma – which is living with the results of other people’s thinking.” –Steve Jobs
Today’s just a quick blurb about just thinking and doing independently in your life. I had a very interesting conversation today and to sum it up, we discussed making life choices without outside influences. It’s an interesting thing to think on as a young adult. It’s pretty much the transition of thinking like your influencers, whether that be your family or your peers, to thinking for yourself and becoming your own influencer. Not everyone is as quick to make this transition but it’s important to be your own person and to think independently. It’s something Amalia and I have been trying to do more recently and it explains why we have done things that are outside of the norm. For example, when we recently got rid of cable and when I sold my truck to get an older commuter car. It’s much bigger than this too, it’s not just about things but it’s always easier to quantify actual things when giving an example. The key to all of this is be yourself and make your own decisions. This doesn’t mean you can’t get some help along the way but you need to make your own path, which is both exciting and slightly frightening. I have felt great about most of my life choices this year, how does everyone else feel about their recent life choices?
Item 146 of 360+
Today’s item is another pair of dress shorts. These shorts had some nice sail boats on them. Hopefully someone else can get some use out of them, they are too big on me now.
