“I feel that if you are blessed, or lucky enough, to be doing well, you should help others.” ― Laurell K. Hamilton
“Never look down on anybody unless you’re helping him up.” ― Jesse Jackson
One of the best things a person can do in life is give a helping hand. It’s the willingness to help others whether small or large that makes a lasting impression. For me, I’m in the helping others stage of life, while having fun and building my own. This weird but great time in my life of my late 20s. I make sure to try to appreciate every day because I know it won’t last forever. From helping family with house work, to doing my own house work… From going to visit family and friends every weekend, to hosting family holidays… From working a full time job, to still being able to jam pack most days with helping ourselves or others, or spending quality time with friends and family… it’s crazy but great, and part of me wants to complain, but I know not to because this is the best time in life. Everything is in front of us still, we get to visit, help, and most importantly enjoy the company family and friends so very often and it’s a blessing. So when someone asks for a helping hand, always try your best to say yes and do it with a smile on your face because you’re lucky enough to be able to help and not be the one who needs the help at this time. Soon enough, you will be the one who needs to help and there will be plenty of people willing to help you too, remembering how you once helped them.
Item 101 of 360+
Today’s item is something I always felt bad about when I was a kid. I asked my parents for this PlayStation move Sharpshooter attachment for my PS3 game Killzone. Why did I feel bad about it? I used it one time, hated it and never wanted to use it again. It was only 40 bucks but I always just regretted asking for it and not ever using it. Hopefully someone will now get some use out of it!
