Day 80 – Out of Your Control

“You can’t stop the waves, but you can learn to surf.” – Jon Kabat-Zan

It’s important to realize that you can’t control what you can’t control. This is the waves at the beach when you wanted it to be calm or a rainy day when you wanted sunshine. Unfortunately, things aren’t that simple and things don’t always turn out the way you want them to. This is where your attitude makes or breaks you and this is also why I love today’s quote. You may not be able to control what is going on but you can control how you react to it. It’s easy to quickly get upset over things out of your control. I’ve been there plenty of times. Something I have now grown to learn is things out of your control aren’t going to change based on your reaction to them. This is difficult but so important to learn if you strive to be more happy, optimistic, and level-headed in life. I have been in situations out of my control where it has consumed me for days, weeks, and months after the fact and the biggest mistake was thinking I could solve a problem out of my control. The best thing to do is to learn to work with the parts you can control. So, if life gives you a rainy day, stop fighting with the rain, get yourself a rain jacket and don’t let it bring you down.

Item 080 of 360+

Today’s item is a Supernatural Pop! again. The collection seems to be endless but I promise there will be an end soon enough. This is Castiel with the black goo from a leviathan. I hope this finds a good home where it will be showcased, a big upgrade from the box it was sitting in, stored away in my basement!
