“Find gratitude in the little things and your well of gratitude will never run dry.” ―Antonia Montoya
Today is all about enjoying the little things in life on this wonderful Simple Saturday. For Amalia and I, that means some relaxation and Harry Potter Movies for us this weekend. There is no one answer to enjoying life, but appreciating all the small moments of every day is a good start. How you appreciate it and approach every day is the key difference maker. Big goals and expectations can be a good thing, but it can also lead to big disappointment. That’s why it’s important to move in small steps towards a bigger goal, similar to our whole reasoning behind our one item everyday 360 in 365 challenge. My challenge for everyone today is keep it simple and appreciate the tiny victories whether that is waking up early in the morning, getting chores done, running some miles, cleaning out a closet, or getting some much needed relaxation.
Item 044 of 360+
Our friend Nate gifted us a beautiful knife set as a gift for our upcoming wedding. We were very grateful and we knew that means it was time to get rid of our old set. This is not a big step forward for decluttering, however, it is the right step forward in preventing clutter in the first place. Being able to realize that there is no longer a need for an item and disposing of it, was a great decision for us. So today we successfully prevented our basement from unnecessary clutter.
