Day 27 – Why So Serious

“Don’t take life too seriously. You’ll never get out of it alive.” —Elbert Hubbard

It’s Wednesday, the day set aside for some warm wisdom. Welcome back or for the first time, it’s TJ. Today is the day to do that thing that you have been meaning to do but never got around to it. Oh man, I really need to…. (insert goal here). By the time you end that sentence you can be working towards it. Right now my main focus is living a meaningful life and most importantly, enjoying the little things. The best way for me to do that is by setting small goals to fail and learn from or succeed and prosper from.

I am happy to announce that I actually read before bed yesterday like I wanted to last night and I actually got up early to take the dog for a walk and make some coffee like I wanted to this morning. What was the result? It felt fantastic. It was a great foundation for the day. Also, an odd anomaly possibly but it seemed so much easier to wake up this morning. Why? My best guess is because I wasn’t getting up to work, I was getting up to hit one of my goals and enjoy my morning before work.

Today’s quote is awesome and something we all need to hear every once in a while. It is important to remember during the day to day that everything doesn’t have to be so serious. Everything in the world is not made to stress you out and if you feel stressed or overwhelmed, then the best thing to do is evaluate what is causing that stress and try your best to remove it from your life. Also, you don’t have to be so tough on yourself. You have to try to enjoy yourself every day. You don’t have to wait until the weekend to have fun. Today is the best day to live a meaningful life and to be the best version of yourself!

Item 027 of 360+

The warm weather item this Wednesday is this Cowboys sweatshirt I had laying around that I haven’t worn in a while. It will be put to good use by someone else, so we will be donating it!
