Day 19 – Short and Sweet

“It is always the simple that produces the marvelous.” —Amelia Barr

“The greatest step towards a life of simplicity is to learn to let go.”  —Steve Maraboli

Two Quotes, Two Questions and Two Answers every Tuesday (TWOSday… lol) from now on and we shall see if it sticks, hello it’s TJ and I hope you enjoy this simple blog post today. Please reflect on the below questions and leave your answers in the comments if you like!

Q1: What gave you the most joy today?

A two-part answer of course. First, the ride to and from the gym. Very simple and yet one of the best parts of my day. I have started to go to the gym with my father and I enjoy spending time with him and just talking about whatever is on our minds. Second, was dinner with Amalia. Just talking about our day and enjoying each other’s company. This answer is much different this year than last year partly because of less focus on things and partly because I just never really asked myself that question. It’s important to reflect on what brings you joy.

Q2: Did you do one thing to improve yourself today?

I wrote this blog post, does that count? (HEY, THATS A THIRD QUESTION!) That was a rhetorical question of course. I didn’t do one thing to improve myself but instead I did a bunch of mini things that improve myself overall today. I ate healthy, I didn’t use much social media, I did some house chores, I worked out, and I used my time wisely. All improvements I have been working on daily to make a big impact on my life.

Item 019 of 360+

A Starfrit blender with two, that’s right TWO cups. This does not have a home yet but if no friends want or need it, we will be donating it as we no longer need this item. We have a nicely sized kitchen with enough cabinet space to fit this but it serves no purpose for us. This item will be used so much more by someone who needs one.
