Day 13 – Road to Happiness

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
– Robert Frost

What a quote, what a poem, what a poet. Welcome everybody, it’s Wednesday and it’s WTJ (The W is silent). Think about your day and answer one question. Did you do something today that you love to do or are passionate about? If your answer is yes, good for you, keep it up. If your answer was no, then you may be stuck in the funk of “being normal.” You know the status quo, the doing what everyone else is doing while following the path of least resistance. The best way to get out of it is to get out of it. Stop wasting time and start doing the things you say you want to do. Live in the present, value time over everything and just start doing it.

On December 31st, this blog and website were just a thought in the back of my head. What’s important to know is this post and this website aren’t my new year’s resolution. My “new year’s resolution” is to be a better version of myself and to really just start doing the things I’ve wanted to do. Write everyday, read everyday, focus on being more positive everyday, waste less time everyday, and declutter my things everyday so all that remains is happiness. If there really are two roads, one is running and searching endlessly towards “true happiness” and one is enjoying today. Living for today, finding your happiness, and being content with one’s self is the road less travelled by and it has already made a difference in my life. Sure this upcoming weekend sounds great, but today is what I’m trying to make the most out of.

Just wanted to do a quick update on the challenge I posed on myself yesterday; starting today. I said that if I go on social media, I have to do 10 push ups to earn it. Maybe it was because I was sore from chest day at the gym yesterday, maybe it was myself just finally realizing it wasn’t worth my time, but I wasn’t on social media at all today. I was so much more productive today and enjoyed my day much more. Caveat: I allowed myself to check updates on tags for Facebook but this took less than 2 minutes out of my day. I’m hoping to keep that up, death to the death scroll!!

Item 013 of 360+

Today’s item is a very nice sweater Amalia is donating. I have also now started to gather some clothing in a bag so you will be seeing some of my clothes slowly but surely. We hope this sweater is used by someone who needs it. Thanks for stopping by, see you all tomorrow.
